some random things to share...

Well…I sure didn’t stick to one post a week very well! I am having real trouble with this whole blogging thing, I don’t feel that anything in my life is interesting enough to share, haha.  So I have decided to just ramble…
Let’s play catch up…We FINALLY bought a car, (we needed one badly)!!! I absolutely love it! Poor Jonathan has only driven it once…and I usually hate driving (I’m sure the need will quickly fade away).  Last week Gina and I visited my mom at the Lake, she had decided randomly to take the camper and boat out for a week! We jumped on the opportunity for fun in the sun! Unfortunately, it was so stinkin hot we only lasted for an hour laying out…but we were persistent, the hot temperatures only resulted in us laying out on the boat while mom drove it around…Ahhh breeze!! My goal was to finish ‘The Help’ before that wed so my friends would allow me to watch the movie with them…but I fell short L. I did truly try though, even while I layed out. Luckily they still allowed me to join, and it was awesome! *I do plan on finishing the book y’all…seriously!
Is August really already half over…this summer has flown by. Though since having to become an adult summers haven’t been the same…I miss the summers in which I had absolutely no plans but to lay out, road trips with friends, and family vacations!!! Gosh, I never believed it when people would say, ‘quit wishing you were older, you’re gonna miss these times’; I only related adulthood to independence!!! Sometimes I have a brief moment when I wish I would have been a teacher…summer and holidays off EVERY YEAR…but then I remember…classroom full of children that I can’t spank if the need arises…NO THANKS, haha.  All I can do is look forward to finishing school and starting that Monday to Friday, 8-5 job!!  I cannot wait for another ‘real’ vacation; we take a lot of weekend trips (which I love) but haven’t taken that official annual summer vacation yet!!
Speaking of weekend trips, this past weekend we visited Jonathan’s family down south…way down south!  I love going there; it honestly feels like time slows when you are there. He and his family are typical Cajuns, act and talk just like the people on Swamp People, heck they all live with a bayou in the back yard (alligators and all)!! I enjoy the simplicity of life in the far south, and they love my accent! I inadvertently entertained the entire family for nearly an hour trying the pronounce names in the phonebook (most of which I totally butchered, haha) I just don’t get it, the same letter will be silent in one and not in the next…it’s truly a different language!!! His grandfather even gave me phonebook to take home ‘to practice’; he was serious as he could be too!
Oh my…I almost forgot, Jonathan and I also celebrated our 2 year anniversary on the 15th!!! He is such an amazing person; I found a quote that I felt said exactly what I wanted…
It was very good of God to let my dreams come true,
to note a young girl’s cherished hopes then lead me right to you!
