some random things to share...

Well…I sure didn’t stick to one post a week very well! I am having real trouble with this whole blogging thing, I don’t feel that anything in my life is interesting enough to share, haha.  So I have decided to just ramble…
Let’s play catch up…We FINALLY bought a car, (we needed one badly)!!! I absolutely love it! Poor Jonathan has only driven it once…and I usually hate driving (I’m sure the need will quickly fade away).  Last week Gina and I visited my mom at the Lake, she had decided randomly to take the camper and boat out for a week! We jumped on the opportunity for fun in the sun! Unfortunately, it was so stinkin hot we only lasted for an hour laying out…but we were persistent, the hot temperatures only resulted in us laying out on the boat while mom drove it around…Ahhh breeze!! My goal was to finish ‘The Help’ before that wed so my friends would allow me to watch the movie with them…but I fell short L. I did truly try though, even while I layed out. Luckily they still allowed me to join, and it was awesome! *I do plan on finishing the book y’all…seriously!
Is August really already half over…this summer has flown by. Though since having to become an adult summers haven’t been the same…I miss the summers in which I had absolutely no plans but to lay out, road trips with friends, and family vacations!!! Gosh, I never believed it when people would say, ‘quit wishing you were older, you’re gonna miss these times’; I only related adulthood to independence!!! Sometimes I have a brief moment when I wish I would have been a teacher…summer and holidays off EVERY YEAR…but then I remember…classroom full of children that I can’t spank if the need arises…NO THANKS, haha.  All I can do is look forward to finishing school and starting that Monday to Friday, 8-5 job!!  I cannot wait for another ‘real’ vacation; we take a lot of weekend trips (which I love) but haven’t taken that official annual summer vacation yet!!
Speaking of weekend trips, this past weekend we visited Jonathan’s family down south…way down south!  I love going there; it honestly feels like time slows when you are there. He and his family are typical Cajuns, act and talk just like the people on Swamp People, heck they all live with a bayou in the back yard (alligators and all)!! I enjoy the simplicity of life in the far south, and they love my accent! I inadvertently entertained the entire family for nearly an hour trying the pronounce names in the phonebook (most of which I totally butchered, haha) I just don’t get it, the same letter will be silent in one and not in the next…it’s truly a different language!!! His grandfather even gave me phonebook to take home ‘to practice’; he was serious as he could be too!
Oh my…I almost forgot, Jonathan and I also celebrated our 2 year anniversary on the 15th!!! He is such an amazing person; I found a quote that I felt said exactly what I wanted…
It was very good of God to let my dreams come true,
to note a young girl’s cherished hopes then lead me right to you!

this is a new week...

I am so tired of being tired, if that makes any sense at all. I love my life, but sometimes it gets crazy! Saturday was my grandmother, MoMo, birthday-she would have been 81! Mom and I did a few of her favorite things to celebrate-loose $20 at the casino, eat at Olive Garden while enjoying an adult beverage, followed by some shopping!! I don't feel like we stopped all weekend, it is so funny when during the week you are so excited, looking forward to a weekend with no plans then, bam...out of nowhere your entire weekend is busy.  This weekend also happened to be 'ovulation time' which is always added stress.  We decided to continue trying throughout this last month of clomid, then take a break till the appt with the specialist. We are both just so stressed out over it, I understand this is just the beginning but it is hard on us.  I am currently on semester break, 1 down-many to go! I am enjoying school, only because it is slowly getting me to where I want to be...a day job, m-f !!  Though this week is also pretty booked, haha...I am looking forward to it!! Can't wait for bunco!!

this is me...

I am obviously new to this blog thing..so please just be patient!!! I have been typing and deleting for days now trying to decide how to start, I am finally just gonna type and go with it...
My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married for nearly two years, goodness time flies! It seems like just yesterday I was walking down the isle to start my life as the 'other half'. I have loved every single crazy minute of it!! We decided some time ago we were ready for a family, I stopped taking by birth control thinking, like most of us do, that ok this is it-a couple a months tops and I will be pregnant.  Well, it hasn't quite worked out that way for us. Here we are..after months of Clomid and daily ovulation tests...still not able to get pregnant. We are scheduled to see a specialist to see what might be going on, but couldn't get in until October.  Till then we can only keep praying and keep trying.

On a much happier note...We welcomed our second niece into this world yesterday, beautiful healthy baby girl, Mollie! Big sister Ellie is so excited to be the 'helper', she made sure everyone washed their hands before touching her baby sister! I hope to see her again this weekend when we go back home for a good friend's wedding! Though the main thing I hope to accomplish today is to absorb some Vitamin D at my parents pool! I have only been able to layout once, and it was only for 2 hours! and not even in a bathing suit!! I really don't know if I have even had my bathing suit on this summer...goodness I hope it fits...didn't think about that!!

I hope I did ok with my first blog!!!
